Paediatric First Aid

Course Description:

This is a Qualsafe approved 12 hour course, registered through Qualsafe. The aims of this course are to train people to the required level of knowledge and skills in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework & Ofsted requirements under the Approved Carers Scheme.

On successfully completion of this course each delegate will be issued a certificate of attendance valid for 3 years subject to full attendance and satisfactory continuous assessment.

Priorities of Treatment
Basic Life Support
Unconsciousness
Chocking & Foreign Objects
Shock, Wounds & Bleeding
Burns & Scalds

Day 2
Childhood Conditions
Asthma & Diabetes
Head Injuries
Seizures
Sprains, Strains & Fractures
Poisons, Bites & Stings
First Aid Kits & Recording of Incidents

What’s Included:

Each delegate will receive professional tuition, a valid 3 year certificate and a First Aid Medic pen.

Refresher/ Re-qualification:

As we all know, if we do not use a skill we can lose the ability to use it. To prevent ‘Skill Fade’, the HSE strongly advises that each candidate attends a yearly refresher course (4 hours), before completing another 2 day Paediatric course every 3 years.
